CalAIM: Reentry — Seeking to help people returning to their communities from jail or prison, CalAIM’s Justice-Involved Initiative is designed to better meet the health needs of people leaving incarceration. Services include enrolling eligible people in Medi-Cal before their release from prison, jail, or youth facilities, ensuring connection to physical and behavioral health services, and housing transition navigation.

County of Ventura Human Services Agency — Our VC home for essential programs and resources that support individuals and families in need, including employment assistance, housing support, and access to healthcare and social services. Their Resources and Events include groups related to health, social services, and basic needs that are available for assistance.
Fresh Start Program — This Ventura County Public Defender’s Office program focuses on helping individuals clear their criminal records to improve their chances for employment, housing, and other opportunities. The program assists eligible clients with processes such as expungements, record sealing, and early probation termination.
Ventura County Behavioral Health Access/Crisis Line — This local line provides support for individuals and families in crisis, including their mobile response team. It is the entry point to all VCBH services, with a focus on mental illness, substance use, or both. Should you or a friend need immediate, local next steps, these will be provided by trained MH professionals.
